Cultural Centre Valve is located in the centre of Oulu at Hallituskatu 7, 90100 Oulu.

Valve is located about 15 km from Oulu Airport and about 800 metres from Oulu Railway Station.
The main entrance to Valve is located on Hallituskatu. There is also an entrance to Valve on Ojakatu. The Hallituskatu entrance has automated doors.
There are Oulu public transport stops located near Valve. For more detailed information on bus timetables on the Oulu public transport website.
Near Valve there are some 2-hour disc parking spaces. At a walking distance, there are lift connections to the Kivisydän underground parking facility (site in Finnish).
Accessibility at Valve
If you have any questions about visiting Valve or if you need help, our attendants and other staff will be happy to help.
Most parts of the Valve building are accessible. However, in the oldest part of the building there are stepped thresholds and the doors are narrow. If necessary, a movable threshold ramp is available.
Arriving at Valve and using the services
Two accessible parking spaces are available on the Ojakatu street.
There is unobstructed access to Valve through the Hallituskatu automated doors.
The info point is located in the lobby, the desk is high, there is no induction loop.
The ticket office is located in the lobby, the desk is high, there is an induction loop.
The lift is 1 440 mm x 1 100 mm in size, no induction loop.
The accessible toilet is located on the basement floor, the door is locked. Please ask the info desk to open the door.
Accessibility information for different floors
Ground floor: Valvesali Hall, cafeteria, galleries and crafts workshop
The Valvesali Hall, cafeteria, galleries and Kantti crafts workshop are accessible.
There is an induction loop in the Valvesali Hall.
There are three wheelchair seats on the first row in Valvesali Hall. More accessible seats can be arranged. When booking wheelchair seats, please contact Valve ticket office.
1st floor: Cinema Studio and Valvenäyttämö Stage
Cinema Studio and Valvenäyttämö Stage are accessible by lift.
Wheelchair seats can be arranged for the Valvenäyttämö Stage. Please book the seat well before the day of the performance.
Cinema Studio has two wheelchair seats, one on both sides of the first row.
When booking wheelchair seats, please contact Valve ticket office.
1st floor: Offices on the Torikatu side and film library
The offices on the Torikatu side of the building and Oulu Film Centre's film library can be accessed by lift to the second floor and using the ramp to access the door that separates the lobby and office spaces. The door is 77 centimetres wide. The film library door has a threshold of 6 cm.
On the first floor, there are thresholds between rooms.
2nd floor: Dance studios 1, 2 and 3, Tarinavintti and meeting room
The dance studios, the Tarinavintti literary arts club room and the meeting room are accessible by lift to the second floor, the rooms are located on the left side of the lift. The door to the premises is 74 cm wide.
The dance studio dressing rooms are to the right of the elevator.
You can access the meeting room by wheelchair through dance studio 1.
