Cultural Centre Valve participates in the production of cultural services for the neighbourhoods of Oulu region, enabling possibilities for cultural activities in different areas of the city.

Support and development
The Urban Neighbourhood Culture produces and organizes cultural services in different districts, in cooperation with third sector operators and other organizations of the City of Oulu. The goal of the Urban Neighbourhood Culture is to support and promote the area specific cultural activities. Through a variety of community art projects and placemaking, we aim to recognise the identities of districts and areas, strengthen their communities, and nurture the welfare.
Our operational environment spans throughout the whole Oulu area – with a special focus to areas outside the city center.
